“I can’t eat that, I’m on a diet right now” – this sentence is so familiar to most people that it seems completely normal. But for some time it has been heard less and less, diet has almost become a nonsense. It’s kind of unsexy – a development that is also reflected in World Anti-Diet Day on May 6th. The self-imposed mortification has not disappeared at all. But in the meantime, phrases like “I’m doing detox”, “I’m on intermittent fasting”, “I’m vegan” or “I don’t eat sugar” can be heard.
