“I can’t eat that, I’m on a diet right now” – this sentence is so familiar to most people that it seems completely normal. But for some time it has been heard less and less, diet has almost become a nonsense. It’s kind of unsexy – a development that is also reflected in World Anti-Diet Day on May 6th. The self-imposed mortification has not disappeared at all. But in the meantime, phrases like “I’m doing detox”, “I’m on intermittent fasting”, “I’m vegan” or “I don’t eat sugar” can be heard. Access to nutrition has changed. But what exactly happened there?
