When American presidents travel to the Middle East, they should at least have a vision. Expectations are always high for a superpower, and a comprehensive narrative is required. Biden is having a hard time there. What should he focus on: overseeing the ailing peace process in Israel and the Palestinian territories? Too profane. Begging for oil in Saudi Arabia? Too embarrassing.
