Why doesn’t Jupiter have gigantic rings like Saturn – Cosmos


It has long been known that, in addition to Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter also have rings of ice and rock fragments. Why they are so weak is anyone’s guess, especially when it comes to Jupiter. Because of its size, the planet would be predestined to have similar distinctive formations to the slightly smaller Saturn. Also the current one Photo by James-Webb-Telescope shows, but it is not. Jupiter’s rings can be seen, but they are much fainter than the planet itself.
