Dudas called for the Patriot to be handed over to Ukraine, but the decision rests with Germany

According to Polish President Andrzej Duda, the most effective would be the placement of Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine. But the decision remains with Germany.

As D. Duda explained, it would be better for Poland’s security if the air defense system were in Ukraine, but close to the border with his country.

“From a military point of view, it would be best if they were stationed in Ukraine to protect Polish territory as well, then they would most effectively protect both Ukraine and Poland. However, the decision remains for the German side,” D. Duda said.
