Here’s how it works: For the bean soup, wash and trim the green beans, i.e. remove the ends. Depending on the length, halve if necessary. Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes – also clean the soup greens and cut into small cubes. Then cut the bacon into fine cubes and leave in a large saucepan. Put the beans, the potatoes and the soup vegetables in the fat and fry them a bit.

Then deglaze with the broth and bring everything to a boil. Simmer the bean soup in the pot over low heat for about 20 minutes until the vegetables are cooked and soft. Then season the soup with salt and pepper and add some paprika powder and a teaspoon of vinegar.

Now add the dried and finely chopped savory. Now let the soup steep in the pot and bring it to the boil again later if necessary.
