The rhubarb season starts in April and with it the time to process the sour vegetables.
We’ll show you how to make a delicious and easy dessert with rhubarb.
You only need a few ingredients for the recipe:
800 g fresh rhubarb
1 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
100 grams of honey
And vanilla ice cream
And this is how it’s done:
First, preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat.
Clean the rhubarb and cut into pieces about five centimeters long.
Place the vegetables in a casserole dish.
Now you can peel off some of the orange peel and squeeze out the juice.
The orange zest and the juice are now mixed together with the vanilla, honey and cinnamon in a bowl.
Pour the liquid over the rhubarb.
Finally, cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and place in the oven for about 25 minutes.
Once the rhubarb is ready, you can serve the dessert with a scoop of ice cream.
