
An absolute eye-catcher..
…the sweet red wine pears are definitely. And there they are fast, simple and with only few ingredients prepared. Instead of using them as an accompaniment to game or roast, they become the perfect one on creamy yoghurt, garnished with walnuts and honey festive dessert for Christmas. Combined with cinnamon sticks and star anise, the red wine not only gives the pears a wonderful flavor strong red color, but also a noble Christmas taste that crowns your feast. Simply a pe(a)rfect match! Why don’t you try it out?
That’s how it’s done:
You need these ingredients:
- For the red wine pears:
- 500 g pears, peeled and halved
- 70 grams of sugar
- 700 ml of red wine
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- For the yogurt:
- 600g Greek yoghurt
- 60 g Honig
- 45 g walnuts, crumbled
The preparation is so easy:
- For the red wine pears: Put the red wine in a pan with the sugar, cinnamon stick and star anise and stir well. Place the pears in the red wine. Heat the red wine and turn the pears in it several times until they have a nice red color all over. Take out the pears and set aside.
Tipp: Once you have cut the pears in half, you can easily remove the shell with ball cutters. - For the creamy yoghurt: Put the Greek yoghurt in deep plates. Scatter the pears on top and garnish with the honey and walnuts.
