Electoral Column: Bernd Sibler (CSU) is the new Degendorf District Administrator

To Christian Bernreiter’s lightning moved to the Bavarian office Degendorf County needs a new district administrator. On election Sunday, May 15, it was decided: Bernd Sibler (CSU) is Bernreiter’s successor.

Citizens eligible to vote in the Deggendorf district had the opportunity to vote for one of the five candidates until 6 p.m. The following candidates competed for the position of district administrator:

Bernd Sibler (CSU)
Maren Lex (Green)
Stefan Achatz (free voters)
Katrin Ebner-Steiner (AfD)
Thomas Müller (SPD)

In the end, as the preliminary final result shows, Sibler clearly won. The CSU candidate received an absolute majority.
